Product form and properties：White or off white free flowing powder, no special odor, insoluble in water, acid, alkali, and commonly used solvents; It has strong expansibility in water, and does not form gel after expansion. It has very good phase compatibility and can complex with polyphenols, carboxylic acids, tannins and small molecular substances. Considered as the preferred disintegrant for high-end tablets, it is particularly suitable for formulations of instant and chewable tablets, and is widely used in food grade products and the beer and beverage industry.

Main applications and functions：

〖Biomedicine〗Crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVPP-XL) can be used as a tablet disintegrant to promote the release of drug active substances. PVPP-XL-F is suitable for smaller tablets and direct compression, while PVPP-XL-M can be used as a stabilizer for oral or topical suspensions.

〖Brewed beverage〗Crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone can be used as an adsorbent in the production processes of beer, wine, fermented fruit beverages, etc., to extend shelf life and improve taste.
